The Basics of RegExSheet
Edit, organize, and format spreadsheet data using regular expressions.
Simply copy-and-paste text from a spreadsheet or a CSV file to get started.
Steps
- Launch RegExSheet
- Import Data
- Select Columns to Highlight (actions only apply to highlighted columns)
- Enter Regular Expression
- Match, Split, Replace, Copy or Cut Fields
- Export Transformed Data
Select the fields that you want to apply the transformation and
enter regular expression and optionally, replacement text.

Features
Make changes to a spreadsheet or csv data using regular expressions.
Actions
These actions are used to apply a Regular Expression to your selected spreadsheet columns.

Match
Splits and keeps only the matching text
Split
Splits and discards the matching text
Replace
Replaces the matching text with the replacement text
including regex notation $1, $2, etc for grouped expressions.
Cut
Only removes the matching text
Copy
Duplicates the matching text
